The KingPin Compatible Crate Bed — 50mm & 100mm is made by Axel’s Pet Products to fit compatible KingPin crates. It turns the crate floor into a cleaner, more comfortable resting space using supportive high-density foam and a removable D600 Oxford cover.

This product is made by Axel’s. It is compatible with KingPin crates, but Axel’s does not manufacture KingPin crates or the crate itself.

Choose the right KingPin compatible crate bed thickness

Choose the 50mm option for everyday crate comfort. It is practical, supportive, and ideal for crate training, travel, dog shows, and normal daily use.

Choose the 100mm option if you want a thicker, more cushioned crate mattress. It is the stronger choice for larger dogs, heavier dogs, older dogs, longer rest periods, or owners who simply want a more premium comfort level.

For best fit, choose the crate bed size that matches your compatible KingPin crate.

If you are using a crate from another manufacturer, measure the inside floor area of the crate before ordering. Crate brands can differ slightly, even when they use similar size names.

Care and cleaning

Remove loose hair and dirt with a vacuum, soft brush, or lint roller. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth or sponge using mild soap and warm water, then allow the bed to dry fully before placing it back in the crate.

When deeper cleaning is needed, remove the cover and machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Do not soak, bleach, iron, tumble dry, or use fabric softener. Then air dry flat or line dry in the shade.

The D600 Oxford fabric is water-repellent, but the bed is not fully waterproof at the seams or zip. For long outdoor use, keep the bed under cover and bring it indoors during heavy rain.

Damage from chewing, scratching, misuse, incorrect washing, or heat exposure may affect warranty eligibility.

This sofa style dog bed is for dogs who do more than simply lie down. Some dogs stretch out. Others curl into corners, lean against furniture, or dig, scratch, and nest before they settle.

Axel’s Pet Products built the Lounger around that behaviour. It has a structured rectangular shape, raised foam bolsters, and a spacious recessed sleep area, giving your dog a proper place to lean, rest their head, stretch out, or curl up.

The raised sides give dogs a comfortable edge to lean against without turning the bed into a soft, shapeless pillow. Meanwhile, the recessed sleep area helps define the resting space, and the high-density foam base gives everyday support for medium, large, and giant dogs.

Built with structured foam, not loose filling

The Lounger uses a high-density foam base and high-density foam bolsters. As a result, it keeps a more structured sofa-style shape than loose-filled bolster beds, which can flatten, bunch, or lose shape over time.

Medium Loungers use a 100mm base with 75mm bolsters. Large and Giant Loungers use a thicker 125mm base with 100mm bolsters, giving bigger dogs more space and a more substantial raised edge.

Replaceable protective sleep-area canvas

Dogs often scratch, dig, circle, and nest before lying down. Therefore, the Lounger includes a replaceable protective sleep-area canvas to help protect the main sleeping surface from daily wear.

This does not make the bed chew-proof or indestructible. However, it gives the high-wear sleep area a practical extra layer that you can replace when needed.

Materials and construction

The outer cover uses D600 Oxford canvas-style fabric — a 600D polyester with PU coating. This fabric is tough, water-repellent, and practical for everyday pet use.

The bed also includes a quality zip closure for easier cover removal. In addition, a black canvas non-slip bottom layer helps keep the bed more stable during everyday use, while two carry handles make it easier to move.

There is no raised piping detail. This reduces one of the common chew-prone edges found on many soft dog beds.

Sofa style dog bed size, fit and comfort

The Lounger is available in Medium, Large, and Giant sizes. Choose the size based on your dog’s actual lying position, not only breed name.

If your dog likes to stretch out, lean against furniture, or sleep with their head on an edge, sizing up may give them a better resting area. Because the Large and Giant options use a thicker base and higher bolsters, they suit bigger dogs that need more room and a more substantial raised edge.

Care and cleaning

The outer cover is removable and washable. For best care, remove the cover and cold gentle machine wash only. Do not use bleach, softener, or harsh chemicals. Air dry only. Do not tumble dry, iron, soak the foam, or machine wash the foam base or bolsters.

The outer fabric is water-repellent, not fully waterproof. For best lifespan, use the Lounger indoors or under cover. Also bring it indoors during heavy rain, prolonged damp conditions, or extended direct sun.

Warranty and comfort guarantee

The Lounger includes a 1-Year Warranty and a 3-month comfort guarantee under fair usage conditions. However, warranty exclusions include damage from misuse, chewing, deliberate scratching, incorrect washing, soaking, harsh chemicals, tumble drying, or prolonged weather exposure.
